In early 2022, Scale-Ability, collaborating with a team of local business owners, trainers, coaches and mentors successfully bid to deliver Skills Bootcamps in Lancashire. In 2023, Scale-Ability won a further contract to deliver Skills Bootcamps in Cumbria… CODE Cumbria was launched in July 2023.

Supporting individuals and employers to close the digital skills gap, fully funded by the Department of Education and delivered through the regional authorities in Lancashire and Cumbria, our CODE Lancashire and CODE Cumbria bootcamps provide programming and coding skills training to individuals and builds connections between learners, as they become candidates, and tech employees.

CODE programmes aim to change the shape of the tech industry and address their recruitment
challenges.

Our CODE Employer supporters feel the benefits of being involved, getting the chance to know their future employers, over 15 weeks, while they train and develop the technical and employability skills needed to sustain a successful career in the world of technology.

Other CODE employer supporters send members of their team on to our programme to develop new skills which will help them further their career and take on new roles and responsibilities. Employers can get involved in several ways from attending our “Meet the Employer” events, to presenting at a workshop, to providing the opportunity for learners to attend a mock interview.
